Yarina Mei, nice to meet you. I am a Gestalt therapist, a supervisor in training, a blogger and author, a mother of two girls, an ex-wife, a divorced daughter, a free girl, a beloved woman, a loving partner, a foster mother to two boys, and an immigrant. I am 41 years old, and my roles and identities have changed so many times that I have become an expert in crises and change. In my professional field, this is my greatest strength—I am a guide and a seamstress—I lead clients out of dead ends and sew together the fabric of their stories, which so often unravels due to the impossibility of experiencing the fullness of life. People come to me in confusion, loss, difficulty, and change. They marry, divorce, give birth to children and projects, change countries and lives with me. They warm themselves, worry, cry, laugh, find meaning and the right words with me.

Words are my special tool.

“You sometimes described what was happening so clearly that I said things I had never admitted to anyone, not even myself.”

That’s how I work. I name things, I search for words, I invite them to find themselves, and with them, me.
